Description:
Serial #TAE0034, 9mm Para., 3 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This stainless pistol is one of the first made, and has beautiful, full coverage New York style scroll engraving with a small circular “1" and “1985" vignette on the right side of the slide near the muzzle (the Model 669 was introduced in 1985). The stainless steel has no wear, or visible handling marks, and the stippled black plastic grips are in excellent, almost unused condition as well. A 2019 dated S&W Factory Letter accompanies the gun which states that S&W has no record of the gun being sold or shipped, and that that may be due to its use as a company promotional item. An additional 2019 letter from Lew Horton Distributors confirms that the pistol was purchased directly from S&W in April of 1993 as part of a lot of “used guns", and that it was engraved when purchased. The pistol comes with two magazines (one is an aftermarket replacement), and rates excellent condition overall. This is a really interesting gun, engraved by S&W, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL
