Description: Serial #32383, .22 LR, 25" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a nice little rifle that retains 90-95% of the original commercial blue finish that exhibits some silvering and flaking along the barrel, and small spots of freckling along the sides of the receiver. Additional mild silvering and fading is present on the projecting edges and bearing surfaces. The breech block has still visible color case-hardening on either side of the loading trough, and there is further case-hardening still visible on the lever, which has turned to a freckled plum-brown and gray patina on the balance. No less than five, crisp Canadian “C/(Broad Arrow)" property stamps are present: on the right side of the barrel breech, right side of the frame, right side of the forend, right side of the buttstock, and on the brass stock disk. The checkered walnut forend and straight grip buttstock are in very good-fine shape with only minor handling marks in the original varnish and the BSA horn buttplate has some minor insect damage at the heel, replaced screws, a small chip missing from the wood at the toe. The original BSA adjustable rear sight and globe front sight with single insert are in excellent shape and have only some minor finish loss on some of the edges. This is an excellent, Canadian marked small frame Martini that is in fine-near excellent condition overall.
