HONG KONG POLICE WWII Enfield No. 2 .38 Revolver
Rare Final Variant of the Enfield Revolver
Here we present a wartime World War II Enfield No. 2 Mark I** .38 S&W Top Break Revolver, made circa 1942 in England. The No. 2 Mark I** was Enfield’s final revolver variation. It was simplified from the Mark I* in order to increase production during wartime. Unlike the original Mark I, this one featured a double action only mechanism with a spurless hammer to match. This one is marked on the grip strap as having been issued to a police officer in the Hong Kong Police and is marked “HKP 0290”.
The overall condition is fine. 80% of the original blue finish remains. The markings are clear and legible. The checkered hardwood grips are in great shape. The bore is clear with strong rifling. The action is excellent. Here is a fantastic piece of British history from WWII and Hong Kong!
