Description:
Sweet little Holland & Holland .410 single shot shotgun (UK conversion from .290 Rook rifle, Nitro Proofed for 7/16 ounce loads). Features include: scalloped back action body and furniture with some foliate-scroll engraving, sidelever hammer action, 2 ½ in chambers, 26" cylinder choked octagon-to-round barrel with double wedding band transition, top marked “Holland and Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London, Winners of all the Field Rifle Trials London 1883”, brass bead front sight, wedge forend fastener, and straight handed figured walnut stock with adult measurements (15” LOP, 1 1/2” DAC, 2 7/8” DAH), and steel butt plate. Serial No. dates gun to 1885. In very good overall condition (wood, metal & mechanicals). Antique/No FFL Required.
