Description:
This is a rare and hard to find Colt 3 1/2 inch cartridge barrel conversion. The revolver was converted from 36 caliber cap and ball to 38 caliber rim-fire. The serial numbers match throughout including the cylinder. There is very little blue remaining except for the rebate on the cylinder. The brass trigger guard and grip frame are a nice even color with only a few tiny dings. The 1 piece walnut grips are better than the pictures show. The bore is so-so with some pitting but not terrible. This is a pretty nice revolver for its age and rarity.
