Inv. 6891 Japanese Type 14, Winter Trigger Guard, Dated 16.5. Ser. 93640. A really great example of thelast series of the famous Type 14.
The condition is quite nice. The gun retains about 85-90% of the original factory finish. There is very little finish loss and that is due primarily to scattered patches of very light pin pricks. There are no rub marks, or noticeable patches of rust. There is, as expected the the ever present safety lever surface scratch.
The trigger still has about 75% of the original straw. All parts.match. The wooden grips are in excellent condition. Retaining about 85% of the original lacquer.. There are no chips,splits or cracks in either of them. The grips screws have no slot damage. The interior, slide rails, bolt face and feed run show very little use if any. The bore is pristine, Mirror bright with razor sharp rifling and just the slightest touch of scattered frost. It comes with one correct Type 14 Magazine Ser. 650.
If by one incorrect number and more than likely a factory mistake It would be a real nice addition to that WWII collection and a real blast at the range....SHIPPED....$795.
