Description:
This is a very nice Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in caliber .30-06, made in 1962, and with a perfect bore and chamber, just about all the original blue with the exception of a bit of wear on the edges of the aluminum floorplate. The stock bears only a few handling marks. Don't think the gun was fired much at all probably only hunted with one season. Someone added a pachamyr recoil pad to the stock but the stock has not been cut. Finish on the last 3 inches of the stock ahead of the pad is very light but the stock has not been sanded or damaged when the recoil pad was installed. Adding a bit of finish would make it perfect. Serial range 5276xx. Action fitted with Redfield type base & rings, just awaiting your favorite riflescope.
