Description:
Steyr manufactured in 1940, this early example retains the early "hook" style charging handle not commonly found on these guns. All serial numbers, including the bakelite receiver parts are matching and complete. The condition of the firearm is rated as NRA fine to excellent. There is no rust or pitting, only carry wear to the finish. The firearm has just returned from the shop of John Andrewski after having a complete inspection, test firing and cleaning. Originally purchased from collector and early Class 3 gun dealer, J. Curtis Earle, the MP40 and all of the accessories were some of the finest available for sale. Eight of the magazines were produced by Steyr from 1942-1944. One of the magazines from Haenel in 1941 and one other by Loch & Hartenberger in 1943. The magazine loading tools were produced by Steyr in 1942 and CG Haenel in 1940. The magazine pouches, according to the stampings on them, were produced by Ernst Melzig. The original sling is in fine condition. All NFA rules apply.
