BRILLIANT WW2 REMINGTON U.S. MODEL 1903-A3 OR 1903A3 OGDEN ARSENAL .30-06 RIFLE, CIRCA 1943. Serial number "3,953,XXX" and all matching with "4-43" barrel date. Two groove rifling. All parts stamped "R" for Remington. Parkerized overall from Ogden Arsenal refurbishment after the War as is customary for most of these. NO imports marks ofcourse. Excellent wood with arsenal refurb acceptance stamps- "O.G." and "SS" on rear buttstock, Circle P next to "P" behind triggerguard, few small circles squares with numbers in them forward of triggerguard, "FJA" on left. Coat of finish overall to preserve(no lacquer or shalac). Pristine stock overall with no dings. Excellent screws unturned. Overall a brilliant example hardly shot. Pre Iwo Jima.
