Description:
Up for your consideration isa beautiful example of a Robert Schuler Triple Barrel drillings rifle. This rifle was MFG in Germany between 1928-1936 and remains in excellent condition. The entire receiver and small screws are all ornate with deep engraving of Elk game scenes on both side plates as well as the cheekplate on the stock, where 4 additional rounds can be stored. Aside from 16ga the gun is chambered for 7.8x57mm but fires the 8x57JR cartridge is the round for the rifled barrel. The 26in barrels ensure proper velocity from each caliber. The entire stock is European walnut with a nice monte carlo style cheek piece. Overall condition is very good with 90% of the original blue remaining, only thinning on the left barrel near the chamber. The receiver is in wondeful original condition with deep engraving and only minor signs of age. Wood is also in excellent condition with the only exception being the fore end, which has a crack in it, it is still structurally sound but is cracked regardless. Bores on the shotguns are excellent with mirror like walls and no pitting, the rifle bore is only slighty frosted, a common sight on European guns of this vintage. All mechanical aspects of the gun work perfectly, with the tang selector raising the rear sight, and the automatic latch for the rear shell holder working flawlessly. These guns are very hard to come by, and are going up in value. Now is your chance to own a very unique firearm at a very reasonable price.
