Rare Devisme Model 1854.This model is covered with acid etched floral patterns. Bore is excellent. Action works perfectly. Devisme was an innovation genius. He was well known for his inventions and received many awards and medals for his work. The revolver has a rare feature as the cylinder has “pillars” in the cylinder and the powder surrounds each pillar and the lead bullet is placed on the pillar and the bullet was struck with a ramrod and flattened the lead to provide a wide base. The bullet when fired would adhere to the special rifling. The grips are very good with excellent checkering. There is some areas of pitting on the back strap and the breech end of the left side of the barrel.
