Weatherby Mark V Deluxe chambered in .340 Weatherby Magnum. This West German (J.P. Sauer) produced rifle was manufactured in 1967. The Mark V deluxe featured a walnut monte carlo style stock with skip line checkering, and rosewood forend tip and grip cap. Length of pull is 13-5/8" over the factory white line recoil pad. The stock has beautiful figure as was typical of the Mark V's of the period. Stock shows various handling marks, dings and scratches from normal field use. The Mark V action features 6 locking lugs, bow release hinged trigger guard and a 26" medium contour barrel. The bore is bright and shiny and the rifle is in excellent mechanical condition. The original blue finish would rate ate 95% with one area of thinning on top of the barrel near the forend tip. The .340 Weatherby Magnum is known the world over for its flat shooting and stopping power. This rifle would be an excellent choice for an Elk, Brown Bear or Moose hunt in North America.
