SEE THE PICTURES OF THIS EXTREMELY RARE 1942 DATED HIGH POLISHED P.38 WALTHER WITH TWO MATCHING SERIAL NUMBERS MAGAZINES AND 1942 DATED ORIGINAL HOLSTER IN ORIGINAL 99% CONDITION. THIS PISTOL WAS PRODUCED DIFFERENTLY FROM THE OTHERS MASSPRODUCTION AT THE SAME TIME IN 1942. THE HIGH POLISHED P.38 WALTHERS WITH MATCHING MAGAZINES PRODUCTION WAS STOPED IN 1941 AND IN 1942 WALTHER DID NOT STAMP SERIAL NUMBERS ON THE MAGAZINES. ALSO WHEN THE MAGAZINES WERE STAMPED ON THE BOTTOM PLATE THE STAMP WAS PUT ON THE ROUNDED END ACROSS THE PLATE AND AS YOU CAN SEE THE SERIAL NUMBERS STAMPED ON THESE MAGAZINES WERE PUT ALONG THE PLATE. ALSO, ALL THE MARKING ON THE PISTOL WERE WHITENED AT THE FACTORY. THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE REASON FOR BEAUTIFYING THIS PARTICULAR PISTOL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WAR WHEN ARMY NEEDED MAKING THESE GUNS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. THIS PISTOL IS UNIQUE AND THEREFORE IS HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE. THERE ONE MORE UNIQUE SITUATION HAS TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL HOLSTER THAT CAME WITH THIS P.38. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS 1942 DATED HOLSTER HAS SOME HANDWRITTEN MARKINGS INSIDE THE COVER, THERE ARE NAMES AND INITIALS OF THREE MILITARY PEOPLE USERS OF THIS RARE P.38 WALTHER. THERE WAS A NAZI"S MILITARY PERSON NAME SCHTS FINKE THAN THERE ARE INITIALS OF THE RUSSIAN MILITARY PERSON IN RUSSIN LETTERS "R. E." AND NUMBERS 74101. HOW DO I KNOW IT?, BECAUSE I KNOW RUSSIAN LANGUAGE AND ALPHABET. THE LETTER "P" IN RUSSIAN IS THE LETTER "R" AND THE NEXT LETTER LOOKS AS THE MIRROR IMAGE OF THE LETTER "N" SOUNDS AS ENGLISH LETTER "E". RUSSIAN MILITARY WERE PROHIBITED FROM BRINGING TROPHIES HOME THEREFORE THEY BETTER WERE TRADING TROPHIES WITH AMERICANS FOR CIGARETTES AND CAN FOOD BEFORE THEY WOULD NEED TO SURRENDER IT TO THE GOVERNMENT, THEREFORE THE THIRD WRITING IN PENCIL IS " LT SCHWARTZ". MY GUESS IS THIS WAS THE NAME OF AN AMERICAN MILITARY OFFICER AND THIS PISTOL CAME TO USA THIS WAY. IF ONLY THIS PISTOL COULD TALK.
