Description:
This Remington Model 8 is a right hand semi-auto rifle in .30 Rem. Cal. It has a 22 inch barrel with a front and middle iron sight. The stock is a checkered grip walnut straight grip with a checkered grip walnut schnabel forearm. This rifle was the first commercially successful semi-automatic rifle offered for civilian sale in the United States. It is long recoil-operated and uses a rotating bolt head. Used as a police gun at least two were used in the ambush of Bonnie and Clyde. The left side of the receiver has HALL scratched in above the trigger.
