Description:
Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine .32/40wcf. The serial number of this example is 417XX Placing date of manufacture in 1895. Overall condition is good with around 40% of the original finish toned to a very nice even plum patina. The bore is dark, however the rifling is present. I did test fire this carbine with handholds and found it fired and functioned perfectly. I was able to hit a one pound coffee can a 100 yards easily. Smooth, tight and mechanically perfect action. This is another ranch gun I brought down from Montana in June, seen a lot of work, wish this one could also talk!
