Description:
We are offering an A.H.  Fox DE, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
 
This Philadelphia Fox is serial number 301227 and has barrels in 20 gauge and 16 gauge.  Both are 28”, have ejectors, and 2-3/4” chambers. Given the finish color, I believe the round knob stock and forend on the 16 gage barrel to be original.  The serial number would indicate this gun to have originally been made as a 16 gauge.

  • DAH: 3”
The 16 gauge barrel is original condition, has a single silver bead, and has some distortion on the rib pattern about 4-1/2” from the breech.

The 20 gauge barrel / forend has been restored has very sharp engraving, forend checkering and dual white beads.
