Remington Lee Sporting Rifle of 1899. One of 1450 sporting rifles made. This is number 75349-the first 350 made in a rare and desirable 30-30 caliber. Very uncommon rifle with a rich history involving Remington,James Lee and Sharps. This sporter looks to have been shipped appox 1902. It is in very good condition with the usual very small scratches and nicks found on 120yr old guns. Action works great/locks solid.Sock has no cracks or repairs. Bluing is appox 80% and has some patina and slight bluing loss on trigger guard, magazine and butt plate. Ebony inlay in schnabble forend. Bore is in very good+shape with some darkening in the lands which should clean up nicely. Overall in great shape for a very uncommon and seldomly seen gun.
