Winchester Model 55, Solid Frame, 32WS, made made in 1930. The model 55 was only made between 1924 and 1932. Only a estimated 20,580 model 55's were made and over 80% were the takedown variation. The vast majority of this model were in 30 WCF (30-30). So a solid frame 32WS is a scarce variation of a small production model.
This gun has no extra holes in wood or metal, bright bore, original sights, never refinished. The receiver has like most of these models have greyed out, the barrel retains about 80% with a few rub marks. Traces of varnish still showing of the wood, no cracks, chips, etc. The comb has 4 very small nicks in a row and I suspect they are "kill " marks. FFL or C&R
