German military mauser 1936 code S/243. Russian Capture (Soviet Rebuild). Import marked. Low production 35,077. Second year of production Weimar style eagesand Waffenamt 211 proof. The bore is very nice. Numbers matching barrel and receiver 5956 on stock. I read that the stock numbers where added along with scratched numbers on bolt and some parts 5956 evidently by an armorer at sometime in the past. Manufacturer Mauser werke AG, Berlin Borsigwalde, Eichborndamm werk.
