Description:
Colt New Service Revolver. Comes with Colt Archive Letter. I have been told that sometime after WWI this revolver was
converted from the original .455 caliber to .45 Long Colt Caliber and Nickle Plated for the R.C.M.P.
45 Long Colt; 98%+ nickle plating , excellent bore, good grips, 51/2'' barrel, Manufactured in 1916. Original checkered hard rubber grips show a little smoothing from use and some small edge nicks. Fixed sights. Lanyard ring on butt of grip frame. Stamped on top of the barrel with the two-line Colt's adress and patent dates 1884 and 1900 & 1905. Left side frame plate is marked with the Rampant Colt logo. The metal finish shows some light sharp edge wear with small handling scratches over all. Screw heads are nice! Lots of British Proof Marks. Original caliber markings modified to reflect it's current caliber chambering. Mechanically fine and tight.
