Reduced, new price $998 // Star in the serial number and 11.43 date under grips indicates it was returned to the factory. Not reblued so reason unknown. Maybe that’s when the Hump back hammer was installed?
These pre-war 22 outdoorsman revolvers were some of the best S&W ever offered. I notice a little pitting at the end of the muzzle on the right side. Bore is excellent plus timing and lockup is right on. Very reasonable priced at $998 plus $30 insured shipping.
