Description:
Colt Python Silver Snake. These early stainless Pythons were a very limited run of 250 units. The barrel is chemically etched on the left side of the barrel that reads '' LIMITED EDITION SILVER SNAKE .357 MAGNUM. The left side of the barrel is etched ''1836 SAM L COLT 1982''. The sideplate is etched with a coiled snake motif. They also included Pachmayer grips with Colt Custom Shop pewter medallions. Per the included Colt archive letter it was shipped to RSR Wholesale in Grand Prarie TX September 9, 1983. It is also interesting to note that the serial number is T03500 and that is the highest number I have noted on one of these to date. The metal finish is excellent with only some fine hairs in it. The sandblasted top strap of the frame has an area of box rub at the very right front of it. I have provided a detailed photo of it. Outside of that everything else is excellent. The action is crisp, the lock up is tight, and the bore is bright and shiny. The Custom Shop grips are flawless.
