We are offering a Parker VHE, one of many pieces from the private collection of firearms and outdoors retailer/distributor Lew Horton.
 
This .410 bore VHE, serial number 236229, features a single, selectable trigger, beavertail forend, English stock.  It has very good bluing and case color, and dual ivory beads, and a Meriden pistol grip cap. This VHE dates to 1933.
 
Note the fading/discoloration in finish on the right side of both the forend and butt.  There is no textural difference in these areas (no raised grain, not rough) to the rest of the wood’s finish.  We’ve updated images to better capture this and have add photos to the end of the listing.
 
The factory codes from the Parker Gun Identification and Serialization Guide match this double’s configuration as does the Factory Letter.
