Description:
Pacific International Italgun model "American Pioneer Single Action Revolver".  Caliber is .22 rimfire (short, long or long rifle), barrel length is 7 1/2 inches, the finish is blue with frame case hardened in colors, grips are one-piece wood.  The serial number is V51.  Although it isn't marked Uberti anywhere, it is probably their manufacture.  It does have Italian proof marks.  The date code (XXVI) stamped on the right side equates to 1970.  I believe the revolver to be unfired; however, there is some surface rust on the left side of the frame and on the cylinder.  This might clean up, but I have not touched it.  The revolver seems to function correctly and lock up tightly with little or no endshake.  Included with the revolver is an invoice from the seller, EMF Company in Studio City, California.  The gun was shipped to Southwest Shooters Supply in Oklahoma City in September 1975 and sold to a resident of that city.  A catalog/price list from EMF is also enclosed.  The gun is in it's original, serial numbered box.  The box has been extensively repaired, but the markings are clear.  The gun is all steel, no alloys here, with a two piece grip frame like the Single Action Army.  It is the same size as the Single Action Army, so it is fairly heavy, weighing in at a little over three pounds.  It also has the hammer block safety invented by Aldo Uberti which was used on guns of his manufacture starting in about 1969.  One source of information on this model says that it was one of Uberti's first cartridge revolvers.  Estimates are that there were a few hundred made.  I will be happy to answer any questions about this revolver.  Shipping only to FFL.  Shipping fee $50 to the continental USA.
