Description:
Up for sale is my Erl Svendsen Pony Express .22 LR single action revolver with 4 3/4 inch barrel, color case hardened frame, brass one-piece grip frame, fixed sights, six round cylinder, genuine stag stocks and the original box.  The serial number is 407 with a "B" prefix.  It has been fired and shows some wear to the finish at the muzzle and the end of the ejector rod housing. The finish is probably about 95% or so with a turn line on the cylinder. The genuine stag grips are quite thick and very nice with no cracks or chips. I have not fired it, but it seems to function correctly and the cylinder has little or no end shake and it locks up well with four clicks.  Excepting the brass grip frame, the rest of the revolver is all steel with no alloy parts.  There is a short article about Svendsen's guns on page 22 of "Great Western Arms Company" by John C. Dougan and Jim Hoobler (Mowbray Publishing, 2012).  This revolver has been discussed on various forums (Colt, Ruger, High Road, Rimfire Central) and a little searching should turn up more information.  Approximately 320 of these revolvers were produced by Svendsen in the late 1950's.  The accompanying box is certainly the correct one, but there is no individualized information on the label end of the box top.  I've seen several of these revolvers over the years, but this is first one I have ever seen with the box.  And the box is in great condition with no burst or repaired corners and only little edge wear.  No tears or staining or water damage.  Some of the metal corner pieces show some rust, but all are intact and strong.  Shipment to FFL is required.  Shipped charge will be $50 to the continental USA.  No foreign sales.  I will be happy to answer any questions about this revolver.
