1800s ENGRAVED Antique FISHER of BRISTOL Pistol
19th Century Single Shot Pistol
Here we present an antique Engraved Fisher Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850 in Bristol, England. This “Top Hat” single shot pistol was perfect for conceal and carry in 19th Century Europe. This pistol has a round turn-off barrel decorated with bands of foliage and stamped with Birmingham proof marks under the barrel. The engraved box-lock frame has “Fisher” inside an oval on the left with “Bristol” on the right. It is fitted with a sliding safety catch that locks the pistol at half-cock.
The overall condition is fair. The metal surfaces are dark with age. The markings are clear and legible. The hardwood grips are in good shape. The bore is smooth. The action is nonfunctioning due to missing parts.
