22LR; 99% blue, mint bore, near mint stock, 22'' barrel, Minty FN takedown (as per included copies of letters/invoices of provenance) originally purchased from the FN factory on 12 September 1945, by US Army Sergeant Elden M Smith for 1200 Belgian francs as well as an additional 10 packs of cigarettes paid for the custom engraving. Sgt Smith purchased this gun for his friend, Roy Imig of Minier Illinois, whose name is engraved on top of the receiver. See included copy of note, hand written by Sgt Smith on the back of the original sales receipt. Other than the most very minor handeling marks, this is a remarkably near mint engraved rifle, along with a WWII soldiers' story of a gift to his good friend

Pre-1898 firearms and non-firearms items are exempt from licensing requirements. All items shipped to an Illinois address will be charged 8.75% sales tax. NOTE: Because of recent shipping restrictions and charges placed on us by UPS and FedEx (handguns must ship via next day or 2nd day air and they have added a $10 surcharge for parcels over 48”. Our return policy lasts a maximum of 3 days from the time you receive your item. If 3 days have passed since you received your purchase, and we have not been contacted by you, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. If you are not happy with your purchase, please contact us by phone and/or email to arrange for a return. Items must be shipped back to us to arrive with 7 days of notification of return.
