DWM Navy P-08 (Luger), Dated 1917, Ser. 8342.
A real rare one for the collector who who is not a fanatic about condition and is concerned about price. This 1917 Navy has retained about 97-98% of the original factory blue. The only real loss is a small patch of light pitting on the left side of the muzzle going back about an inch and a half, some very light scattered pinpricks on the underside of the barrel, the left side rail and the usual side plate wear. The grips have not even started to gray. The strawed parts are about 98% original. This condition is very common on Naval Lugers because if the exposure to moisture.
All numbers match. The left side of the slide has the is stamped Crown, Crown/M, Crown/M. The bottom of the barrel Crown/M. The side of the frame and front sight base are correctly dated 1917. The rear sight has the proper two position sliding safety. The walnut checkered grips

The walnut checkered grips are outstanding with no chips, dings or spits and just a few flattened points. The feed ramp, slide rails and bolt face show little use. The bore is really great, mirror bright with sharp rifling with just a bit of scattered frost. It comes with one correct three ring wooden based magazine.
