*** SOLD *** Handsome Arrieta Model 557 in 28 gauge with two sets of barrels. Beautiful coin finished nicely engraved action with disc set strikers, double triggers, articulated front trigger, auto ejectors, and automatic safety. Easy to carry with its 28” barrels at 5lb 15oz. With the 26” barrels the weight is 5lb 10oz. A safe queen that does not appear to have been shot much at all. *** The Number 1 set of barrels is 28” in length and chambered for 2-3/4” cartridges. The right barrel is bored 0.546 with a constriction of 0.006 for Improved Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.548 with a constriction of 0.010 for Modified choke. The Number 2 set of barrels is 26” in length and is also chambered for 2-3/4” shotshells. Both sets are topped by a raised solid concave game style rib. The right barrel is bored 0.550 with a constriction of 0.000 for Cylinder choke. The left barrel is bored 0.548 and has a constriction of 0.008 for Improved Cylinder choke. Both sets of barrels are topped by a raised solid tapered game style rib. The bluing on both sets of barrels is in excellent condition with only a few small handling marks. Perfect choking combo for upland game like quail, grouse, dove, and woodcock. *** The straight grip stock and splinter forearm are made from nicely figured European walnut with a checkered butt. Checkering shows little if any wear. There are a few minor handling marks on the wood. Stock dimensions are 14-7/8” to a checkered butt by 1-3/8” by 2-1/8”. Slightly cast-on for the left handed shooter. Could easily be bent to cast-off.. This is a well-made 28 bore from one of Spain’s famous makers. Would make a good travel gun with its two sets of barrels. Priced to sell quickly with bird season here at last! *** I am an FFL and will need a copy of your dealer’s FFL.
