Payment Types Accepted: US Postal Mondey Order, Certified Bank Check Description: SOLD Note: Update, Nov. 17, 2019: I cleaned this gun this morning and wanted to let any potential buyer now that I do have the original elevator for the rear sight and it is back on the gun. When I bought the gun, it had the rear sight with elevator on the gun. I looked around and sbsequently found the NOS Weaver bases that would have been on the gun. The four holes all had filler screws in them. I carefully took those out, saved them, and put on the Weaver bases, which fit perfect, and were undoubtedly the reason the gun was drilled and tapped--for Weaver bases. I kind of thought this--I had looked at a number of vintage Weaver ads, and they showed illustrations of this exact set-up on a Model 75 Sporter. I had taken the elevator off at that time to check and see how a scope would fit. Depending on what size scope that you would use, the elevator might be left in, or, in a bigger scope, you might have to take it out. So, the elevator, filler screws, swivel studs (which weren't original--but I got the Winchester sling swivels as previously noted) all are here and go with the gun. I saved the packages for the Weaver bases if someone wants to take them off and put the filler screws back it. So, all of these parts go with the gun. Thanks for your attention in this matter. If you have any questions, get in touch with me. Note: Update, Oct. 27, 2019: Just got back from a gun show, and was able to get great used correct sling swivels for a 75 Sporting. In pictures 1,2,6,7, and 8 you can see that someone had replaced the swivels with studs. Well, the gun now has the correct swivels on it. For what it is worth, whoever buys the gun can have the studs that were on it as well. Also, I carefully dissasembled the gun and cleaned all the metal on the bottom of the action and barrel. It is interesting to note that the barrel is marked "38," indicating that this 1941 gun utilized a barrel from the first batch of barrels that Winchester made when they put the gun into production in 1938. Price remains the same. For sale is a Model 75 Winchester Sporting Rifle, Pre-War, # 11279 (1941). The gun has blue wear and lght marks on the stock. Has the original 5 Round clip. The gun was drilled and tapped years ago for Weaver bases. I was able to get the NOS Weaver bases for the gun. Also, the barrel and action had filler screws. The rear sight had the original elevator. I kept all of these things and they go with the gun. The biggest issue is the blue wear on the barrel by the forend, from the forearm forward (especially on the right side), and on the left side of the barrel at the muzzle The bolt is serial numbered to the gun.
