This bridle can be used as a halter or as a regular bridle. The head band is arsenal marked and dated 1903 with unit marks on top. This style of bridle is seldom seen by collectors. This is a transitional piece from the black leather cavalry to the tan leather cavalry. Most of the transition started in 1904 with the 1904 Mc Clellan saddle and accessories. This bridle however, is dated 1903! This bridle shows service and field use. There is no abuse or replaced parts with this bridle. This will show very nicely for the collector of military and cavalry items. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details. H.L.V.Private (8) F. No. 452 -19 SOLD |
