This World War 2 CYQ P-38 rig is really a very nice all-original example brought home as some U.S. Soldier's "trophy gun". It comes complete with an original WW2 German "clg 43" marked black leather holster that is unique in that it has a G.I.-applied Nazi Police Cap Badge attached to the lid, as well as 2 original and correct "JVD" marked magazines. The interior of the holster has the solider's name written in it that captured it "Bedford Jenkins", and the back of the holster has the German soldier's name written on it above the "P-38" stamp "Hahn ????". We cannot quite make out the German's last name. The vast majority of CYQ P-38's that we encounter were poorly finished from the factory but this is one of the nicer early examples with a nice factory blue finish and tight fit and finish.
