SOLD.....MATCHING ARSENAL YUGOSLAVIAN M48 MAUSER BAYONET AND SCABBARD.
The M1948 bayonet was a short version of the pre-War M1924 bayonet.The Cyrillic marking ????????? 44 was used until 1953, when they switched to the western marking (PREDUZECE). In English, it means "factory" or "enterprise." Factory 44 was the Zavodi Crvena Zastava (Red Flag Works) in Kragujevac, Serbia. The factory is still operating today and is known as Zastava Arms.
Condition: Bayo and scabbard appears unissued, mint. Rich finish with minimal loss on the blade from pulling out of the scabbard.Minimal scratches in any. Riccaso with the Arsenal marking PREDUZECE 44. SN on crosshilt MATCHES the SN on the frog stud of the SCABBARD. Scabbard has the throat screw and proper marking with NO dents. Scabbard fits bayo perfectly tight as it should. Rifle not included; pictures to demonstrate fitting on a Yugo M 48. Bayo fits rifle perfectly as shown in the pictures. Bayo has a T-O mortise to fit rifle with the cleaning rod included. Press-release button on pommel works fine. Might have some grease residue left over. Wood scales are in fine condition with good rivets.It will fit other Mausers with T-O mortise being careful that the muzzle ring is at the proper distance. Here are the measurements:
