This is a first variation 1937 Mauser Luger rig with the original capture document! The pistol is referenced by serial on the document, which states it was brought back by PFC Paul Mendinghall on July 14th of 1945. The pistol is all matching and original with 85-90% blue remaining, showing the majority of finish loss on the barrel and sideplate. This is a first variation pistol with strawed small parts, and the straw rates at about 50-75%. The magazine is period original but mismatched to the gun. Bore is strong and shiny with only minor signs of age and use. The pistol comes with a terrific original holster with sharp maker mark and 1939 date.
