Description:
Stephen Grant & Joseph Lang, Ltd.  The Great War, killing many of the English aristocracy, followed and the Depression, nearly eliminated the demand for high-quality, handmade, English guns.  The need to survive caused many of the great English gun makers to merge, as evidenced by this label, circa 1935. The merged companies operating together under this Grant and Lang label include:  Grant and Sons, Lang and Son, Harrison and Hussey, Lancaster, Watson Brothers, and Beesley; all great gun makers in their own names.  Label Size: 7" X 4 1/2"     Small tare in Lang Label. Frame Size: 10 3/4" X 13 7/8"

Willian Herndon Pollard (est. 1820).  This label is dated between and 1920 and 1942, when they went out of business. Label Size: 4 1/2 X 4 1/2"  Frame Size: 10 3/4" X 13 7/8"
