Description:
Excellent condition to mint WWII US Model 03A3 Springfield rifle in .30-06 caliber that was manufactured by Smith Corona, as marked on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked. Smith Corona barrel is dated “11-43” for November 1943. Rifle has Remington bolt and stock. Metal finish is excellent original gray-green parkerized. Bore is like new, bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has excellent arsenal finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has “RA”, “FJA”, and ordnance wheel cartouches. Left side of stock also has “ESAA” San Antonio Arsenal rebuild marking and “OG” Ogden Arsenal rework marking. Underside of wrist has three “P” stamps. Underside of stock also has several proof marks in front of the triggerguard. A beautiful Smith Corona 03A3! Action is super smooth.
