Description: Unique hollowed out Book titled ( THE OLD WEST ) containing a COLT 1849 Pocket Pistol Serial # 132310 ( 1857 Vintage ). The gun looks as old as it is. Barrel cut down to 2" and all numbers match. Address Sam Colt New York City on Barrel. Gun is quite worn with the serial number very legible on Barrel, Frame, Cylinder and Bottom of Butt. Beautifully Carved Ivory Grips with two or three minor cracks on the bottom ( most likely where someone was hit over the head with it ) Nothing major. No Silver on the Brass which is in great condition and all the screws but one ( Pictured on the left side of frame ) are vintage and in great condition ( even retaining some blue ). All the Vintage Accessories are there, some still unopened and in Great Condition. The Stagecoach Scene cannot be seen because of the Vintage and wear. The cover of the book was detached when some idiot at a gun show picked the book up by the cover. He said he would reimburse me for the repair and gave me a bogus name and address. If I see him again, I will shoot him with the gun. Don't know if Colt assembled this package but have seen pictures of later Colt's that Colt did offer as a package. I believe they were Model 62 Pockets. Nice Find!!! . SOLD Antique: Yes |
