Beautiful John Adams Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver, Serial #S10108A, 45 Colt, 4 3/4" barrel with bright unfired bore. Master engaver John Adams Sr. has embellished the gun in full coverage wonderful open flowing scroll with background punch-dot accenting. As expected from Adams, the quality of the work is flawless and rivals any arm ever coming from the Colt factory. All of the screws show lovely vibrant fire temper blue, as does the head of the ejector rod, base pin and the trigger. Lovely smooth ivory grips precisely fitted to the arm, showing the beginning of some very nice age crackling along the butt flats only. There is a glass topped sliding drawer Colt finger jointed walnut dislay case which is green baize lined and includes two small plaques with Mr. Adams name. The arm stands on a lovely zebra wood display with six nickel plated dummy 45 Colt cartridges. The engraving is signed just below the base pin.
