Look at the incredible detail and the wonderful contrast between the creamy Ivory color and the dark scrimshaw work down to the finest detail........Out of the Ashes comes the Phoenix (Believe there was a Phoenix in Harry Potter Series) ... Carving detail on this Phoenix is awesome from the Rare bird to beautiful flowers. It does not get any better.... Museum quality....This is a finely carved Ivory Phoenix Bird with much of the fine detail scrimshawed. Dates late 1800's to early 1900's. Top quality piece unsigned. Measures 10 inches tall including wood stand. No big issues. Nice antique condition. see pictures. Google for Phoenix carving pictures. This would look great under a glass dome.
