Description:
This is a French D.D. LEVAUX, 44 S&W Russian caliber D.A. revolver with swing out cylinder. It is marked Police on the barrel top with a 6” barrel. The mechanical function is very good, crisp and tight. The bore is very good, bright and shiny with very good rifling. It retains 40% blue finish and has very good walnut grips. It is serial number 577. There is a Belgium 1810 black powder proof mark on the cylinder rear. This is a very early swing out cylinder, about 1888 or 1889.
