Description:
A very rare Remington Model 1874 10 Ga shotgun, with 26 inch steel barrels with 2.5 inch chambers. Bores are rough. Barrels have no front bead and appear to have been cut but they do touch at the muzzle. Gun is original but with buttstock crack rear of locks and forearm with a longitudinal crack - all repairable. Metal buttplate is original. Barrels release on this model by pushing the top lever forward and not side to side. Right hammer will not engage sear upon full cock. Obviously a very interesting side by side that could definitely use some restoration, or as a representative piece in a collectiion. Serial number 1508. Wish it could talk.
