Description:
Made only in one yr 1985 and only 1000 were made. This is a bright stainless 1911 Series 80 Govt Model. It is marked Silver Star with a large Star on the slide. While it is brilliantly bright there are a few handling marks HOWEVER...as a stainless gun (vs nickel) this may be polished back to perfection (there are no deep or significant handling marks) by a competent gunsmith or by Colt. There is a compression mark on the rite side of the factory wood grip (minor and not broken). Comes in its correct wood presentation case with key but no papers.
Some of these very unique Colts have sold for over $ 3000.00 at . We are offering this one for a little over 1/2 of that amt.
