Description:
This is a very rare new in the original box Sako Battue. These guns were produced primarily for Sako's European market and were only exported to America for a couple of years in the early ,90's. As you can see from the pictures the gun is quite unique, a medium weight 19.5 inch barrel, a raised quarter rib coupled with a wide V shaped rear sight. The overall length of the gun is 40 inches with an approximate weight of 7.5 pounds. The stock is hand oil finished and made of beautiful European walnut with some exceptional color, the checkering is well done as you would expect from the Sako Craftsmen . Sako only produced these guns in a few calibers and I believe that the Remington 7mm magum would be optimum. This rifle is obviously designed for close in timber hunting and in the 7mm Remington magnum caliber would be ideal for most any game in North America, with the exception of an Alaskan "Brownie", I might stick to my Model 70 Winchester 458 Win Mag.!
I bought the gun new back in the day and it has been in my safe since then, the box and all of the original paperwork are included.These guns are quite rare guys, and very collectible.
