Description:
This is a 2nd model 1866 Carbine with Henry address markings and could be the first or one of the first carbines made in the 2nd model due it's extremely low serial number 15285. Buttplate is #12585 which is no doubt factory error. Buttstock has light weathering and a repair done at the upper tang on right hand side and very nicely done.
Bore is nice and carbine is in excellent mechanical condition. The front sight on band taken down and front sight added behind the band. The rear sight leaf is buckhorn style at the rear of the leaf. Barrel and loading lever is a smooth brown and the Henry barrel address is very weak in spots. Has cleaning rod in butt. Please email if you need more information. Scarce model.
