Manufactured in 1964, this Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 12 gauge pump-shotgun features a 28" inch barrel choked "Modified", a 4-shot magazine, a "Hi-viz" front sight, and 2.75" inch chamber. It is in excellent condition overall and has obviously spent most of it's life in storage. The Ithaca Model 37 is considered by many to be one of the finest pump-action shotguns ever made in the U.S. This particular Model 37 variation is called the 37R or Model 37 "Featherlight", first introduced in 1952 and manufactured until 1985. The Featherlight was offered in 12, 16, or 20 gauge and barrel lengths from 26 to 30" inches, and features the famous Model 37 bottom-ejection, hammerless, take-down, pump-action design. This particular example has 95% of the original gloss blue finish remaining, and a perfect bright bore with no visible imperfections. The stock set is 100% solid and in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major damage. The buttstock is fit with a Pachmayr "White Line" recoil pad, with the length of pull measuring 13.75" inches to the end of the pad. All of the controls on this Ithaca are in perfect working order, and the action is slick and precise. We have no doubt that this Ithaca will function just as well today as it did the day it left the factory in 1964. If you have been looking for a lightweight, reliable, and classy pump shotgun for your collection this vintage Model 37 Featherlight would be an excellent choice.
