Winchester Model 70 pre-64 bolt action rifle chambered in .375 H&H, made in 1950. This rifle was used to take a large trophy room full of record book class North American and African animals. The owner had Simmons Gun Specialties, in Kansas City do some custom work to the gun, tailoring it to his wants and needs. An express sight was added with one standing and two folding blades along with a complimentary higher front sight on the 25” barrel. The stock has had two recoil lugs installed and the front lug was bedded. A tip-off Pachmayr mount is attached to the factory holes on top of the receiver and has a Leupold VX-III 1.5-5 x 20 scope with duplex reticle. Metal finishes are original and in 98% condition; the stock appears to have been refinished when the recoil lugs were added. 13 5/8” LOP over a factory solid red rubber recoil pad. Weighs 9 lbs. 14 oz.
