Description:
These guns were very inovative when introduced in 1965 handsom half mag, monte carlo stock and 24" barrel. Discontinued in 1972 and later produced in a different configuration; the distintive monte carlo stock and half mag were dropped and barrel shortened in the later guns. The 444 is a very potent cal and can be loaded up to to handle any game on the planet.

These are getting harder and harder to find.
This one is nice and attractive but had been exposed to a little moisture at some point in time, there is some loss of blue moslty left side of receiver and light freckling on barrel outside. It still has the front site hood and even the Marlin Bullseye on the butt stock is still in place. It has not been used much and is rarely found at this price.
Scope had been removed before it came to us; filler plugs are missing but are easy to find and replace.
