Description:
The Browning A-Bolt Medallion Model is the firm's finest A-Bolt rifle model. Featuring an engraved receiver with a high-gloss blue finish on all of the metal matched with a gloss finished and checkered Walnut stock, the A-Bolt Medallion has classy good looks to match the superior accuracy and performance that the A-Bolt model line is well-known for. The A-Bolt Medallion features a quick 60 degree bolt throw, a factory-installed adjustable trigger, a hidden detachable magazine accessed thru the hinged floorplate, and a top tang-mounted thumb safety. This particular rifle has the optional factory "BOSS" system on its 24" inch barrel giving the barrel an overall length of 26" inches. The BOSS system is an adjustable harmonic barrel damper that fine tunes the barrel vibrations to best match the load you are using, resulting in increased accuracy potential, particularly in long range shooting. This one owner rifle is in excellent condition with the box. The gloss blue factory finish shows no handling marks or actual wear. The bore in this Medallion is mirror-bright and spotless, with nice strong and sharp rifling throughout. The original factory gloss-finished Walnut stock is in excellent condition but shows a tiny handling mark underside of the forearm most likely from the strap I had attached. The stock is excellent - free from any cracks, chips, or repairs, and the checkered panels on the pistol grip and forearm are still clean and crisp. The factory installed Browning-branded recoil pad is in excellent condition, and is perfectly fit to the stock. As you can see from the pictures, this rifle was carried and actually fired only a few times at the range to site in my scope. All of the controls on this Browning are in perfect working order, and the bolt action is slick and precise when worked. This Browning A-Bolt Medallion would be the perfect rifle for someone wanting a high-class wood and blued steel extremely accurate hunting rifle. Chambered in the flat-shooting 243 cartridge this rifle is capable of hitting the center of the target at long range every time! In the history of the A-Bolt, the Medallion model is often considered the most beautiful and most enduring. This gun will not disappoint! Buyer pays $65 for shipping and insurance.
