Description:
The Weatherby Mark V Varmintmaster rifle was introduced in 1963 as a lightened and scaled down version of the standard Mark V.  This was acheived by reducing the size of most of the standard Mark V parts by 20%. featured a 5-round internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, a 2-position bolt-mounted safety, and was factory drilled and tapped for optics. The Mark V Varmintmaster was made in West Germany for a total of 9 years from 1963 to 1972, with only 7159 manufactured over that time period. There is a little finish loss on the muzzle crown at the highest point, some thinning finish on the bolt knob.
