Description:
For a few years when the Ithaca Gun Company was the importer for Perazzi’s in the late 60’ and early 70’s, they brought in a variation of their popular Competition model called the Game Gun. They’re rarely encountered and feature the Comp One action with drop out trigger group. They all had 27 1/2 inch barrels. On this gun they’re bored .018 and .028. The case hardening is virtually 100% as is the blue finish. I’m not sure if it was ever fired! The action has hand engraving and is perfect. The pistol grip stock is 98% with a schnable forend. The stock is attractively figured and a step above Perazzi wood of that era. Stock LOP IS 14 1/2 inches TO THE FRONT TRIGGER. Double triggers are scarce on Perazzi guns but make perfect sense on a Game Gun. Of note is that there is no serial number on the trigger group. All other numbers are matching—receiver, barrels and forearm. Drops are 1 1/2 by 2 1/4 inches. At 7-4 this gun is a dynamic field gun. It’s hard to imagine a better pheasant gun. If you’d like something a bit different, consider this Perazzi. I pay shipping and insurance to the lower 48. I’ve photographed the gun on a vintage Ithaca 3 barrel gun case.
